We are a strong, globally active organization in the field of development, manufacture and repair of all types of cardan shafts. For more than 40 years we have been supplying cardan shafts for OEM and aftermarket applications in steel and paper mills, special machinery, construction machinery, rail vehicles, commercial vehicles and automobiles, offering outstanding operational reliability, a long service life and low operating costs.
We hold a number of certificates, including DIN EN 15085-2 CL1 and DIN 27201-6, making us one of the few companies authorized to weld and repair cardan shafts for rail vehicles. We have evolved as an independent family business from being a small repair shop to an industrial company synonymous with state-of-the-art technology. Our mission has always been to guarantee the operation of our customers’ cardan shaft drives because total customer satisfaction is our core corporate value.
We relocated our company headquarters from Osnabrück to Lotte at the end of 2020. Our new, ultra-modern 4,500 m² flagship building was built on a 26,500 m² plot of land in the Pätzkamp industrial estate. The new building is the heart of the WiCHMANN Group and the managing director Kristina Wichmann-Raschdorf is quite rightly proud of it. Our new production facility was jointly developed with our team of competent employees and is based on lean principles. This guarantees maximum flexibility for our customers and represents an enormous increase in capacity for the WiCHMANN Group. Environmental awareness and sustainable management are at the forefront of our activities. In addition to two further locations in Germany, we also have subsidiaries in Switzerland, Belgium, the United Arab Emirates and the Netherlands. This means that WiCHMANN is well positioned on both the national and international markets.
